Participants gather in groups of 5-7 with the intention of discovering how to develop personally and professionally. The hour-long sessions will begin with expert content and insight, and then the group will be coached for self awareness, and identifying next steps of personal growth. We've all heard of a support network. It's like that, but with focused content, powerful questions and accountability.
Think of it as a challenge network for leaders.

How My Coaching Works

1-1 Coaching with me is usually a 3 to 6 month, phased process:

Discovery, Development, Determining What's Next

Discovery 

After a complimentary discovery session to ensure chemistry and overall direction, we'll more deeply explore where you are currently with your career/life, what’s going well, what’s not, and what the gaps are. We'll customize a plan shaped by what you really want to accomplish. We usually start by gathering data/insights from your network (supervision, colleagues, direct reports, others as needed), creating a confidential and anonymous report for us to debrief. We'll then identify your primary development area(s), which may be as simple as a few bullet points describing your targeted areas for leadership growth, or it could be a more sophisticated individual development plan. Ultimately, your plan will depend on you and/or your organization's preferences and/or expectations.

Development

With your development areas as our map, we meet for regular coaching sessions (based on your desired pace and bandwidth) usually every 1 to 2 weeks, and but not less than once per month. Our sessions will be designed to drive one of your development areas, but can be focused on any topic you are currently dealing with. This built-in flexibility creates a context where deep learning can happen - digging into the topics most relevant to you, deepening your own insight into yourself, your patterns, your strengths, and your weaknesses. We’ll build on your insight, aiming to put into practice something that you’ve learned, or actively reflecting on something specific to the coaching session.

Determining What's Next

After our sessions are complete, we'll make an assessment of how you’ve grown and made progress against your development areas. If desired, we can invite others to share their perceptions of you have changed. Based on the combined feedback and inputs, we'll  decide whether to conclude our coaching engagement or extend it to further.
